On Friday the 31st of March, the senior school went on a trip to the Orewa beach to learn how to surf.
First we had breakfast in the hall. Room 8,6 & 9 had breakfast first. We got a snack box after breakfast.
Next we got on the bus at the end of breakfast.
Unfortunately we left at the beginning of buddy reading. When we were on the bus I was sitting next to Zaynab. Then we arrived at the beach. When we were at the beach we all met the instructor’s. They told us signs for when we are in the water.
After that we did activities, our first activity was beach activities. For beach activities we played tag of war it was really fun. Then we did surfing lessons. The instructors told us how to get on the board safely.
We tried on sand and we did it in the water.
When we went in the water he First told us to get on the board on our belly then put our hands in front of each other and swim after he told us to put one leg up and stand and i got the hang of it.
I had a fun time there, I will do it again because it was AWESOME. My highlight was surfing in the deep.
